Natalie Jane PriorNatalie Jane Prior was born and lives in Brisbane, Australia.. She has written many books for children and young adults. The Lily Quench series is her most popular and successful series of books to date. Natalies other well known books include the classic picture book The Paw and its sequels (illustrated by Terry Denton), and the on-going non-fiction favourite, Bog Bodies, Mummies and Curious Corpses. Natalie always wanted to be a writer, even when she was a very little girl. At school, she spent most of her maths lessons writing stories. (Her maths marks were not very good as a result.) She wrote her first story when she was five. When she is not writing books Natalie helps her husband run a business specialising in baroque recorders and other early woodwinds instruments. She has one daughter, and two long-haired dachshunds who help her work by barking and making messes on the carpet. Here is a photo of Natalie's dogs Lacy and Rupert.
